Offer more funding and integrate fish passes to support salmon and sea trout. Make rod and bank fishing and catch and release only for migratory fish (salmon/sea trout). Half the quota or even ban salmon and sea trout fishing at sea for 2 years. Bigger fines for poachers. Assess numbers annually.

Salmon and Sea Trout number in and around the UK waters and rapidly declining and it's time to act now and implement an in depth investigation and improve every aspect from sea to spawning ground in order to produce higher numbers, this is and will be a long term project and very demanding but it is something that has to be done. Implementing new fish passes cleaning up the rivers and controlling fishing is just the start. So please help. This issue is not a new issue and more needs doing now.
