Closed petition Ensure access to free chickenpox vaccines for adults not previously infected

I'd like to ask the Government to ensure that all adults who have not had chickenpox as a child should be given the option to receive a vaccination against chickenpox, if requested. This should include communications and a reminder to let people know they are eligible.

Although many children are exposed to chickenpox and have only mild infection, the NHS acknowledges it can be more severe in adults who do not have immunity from childhood infection. My brother died from complications of chickenpox, and other adults have died too from contracting this disease.
