We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Ban the advertising of products which are not plant-based and cruelty-free

In the interest of the health of our people, our planet and the exploitation of animals, the Government should ban all advertising of all food, drink, health/beauty, household and clothing products which are not plant-based and cruelty free, including their packaging.

More details

With COP26 in November 2021, we have to start viewing these types of products in a similar way as we do tobacco.

This ban would not prevent the sale of these products but would make them less attractive. Additionally, this ban would incentivise organisations into producing their products in a much more sustainable way and/or consider plant-based/cruelty free alternatives.

By making these changes, organisations could then take full advantage of the benefits of a multi channel marketing campaign.
