The Government should create a compensation scheme for people who have been held in custody for more than one week, then gone on to be found not guilty.

I spent 7 months on remand in prison where I witnessed terrible things. After waiting 7 months I was found not guilty. Not only have I lost my life for 7 months but also 7 months of wages. I believe some kind of compensation should be provided to people in my circumstances.
