Closed petition Allow parents to be exempt from Jury Service

We wish for parents with children of any age to be exempt from Jury Service.
It is unfair that some parents with young children are forced to do Jury service, meaning that some children may have to be put in to childcare that is unfamiliar to them.

It is not justifiable to ask a parent to put themselves and their child through this emotional trauma.
The potential loss of earnings and the expense of putting their children into these settings prove too much as the expenses and loss of earnings that can be claimed would not cover much of the cost and could mean putting the family into hardship.
