Government have recommended a paltry 1% pay rise for NHS staff who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in every way in the last year. Many have given their lives in the care of others during the last year.
NHS Covid heroes deserve a far better pay rise from a government with billions to spend on a failed Track and Trace system. Government needs to demonstrate that their commitment and gratitude towards NHS staff extends beyond clapping for them.
