Closed Stricter criteria before appointing individual with power of attorney

Before an individual can be given power of attorney checks should be conducted to ensure the person's family are aware of and have an opportunity to object to the appointment, and that the individual concerned is suitable to be given power of attorney.

This would help ensure that people cannot be taken advantage of or pressured into appointing someone with power of attorney.
