Closed Minimum 8-year custodial sentence for all violent crime and sexual offences

As a result of the shocking findings of a survey conducted by UN Women UK, I believe stricter sentencing is required for all violent crime and sexual offences in the UK.

It is clear there is a larger issue with sexual and violent crime in the UK than was previously understood. An independent survey conducted by YouGov found that there is a serious lack of faith in our Authorities to deal with these crimes in the UK. 96% of the woman completing the YouGov survey did not report crimes to the police for fear of repercussion and also believed that the Authorities would fail to protect them should courts fail.
