Closed Prohibit the use of cameras to monitor the activity of staff

Employers should not be allowed to use cameras to monitor staff. This is an infringement of privacy, which is a basic human right. This is a particular issue for HGV drivers, who spend much of their time in the cab, often monitored by camera.

Where cameras are needed to ensure safety, these can be deployed in a way that ensures they do not monitor the activity of workers.
