Closed Make showing proof of age a legal requirement for accessing online pornography

When signing up to a betting agency online it is mandatory to upload proof of age/identity in order to show that you are over 18. Porn however, for the most part doesn't even have a 'Type DoB / Click to confirm your age.' Age verification controls should be a legal requirement.

90% of children ages 8-16 have seen online pornography. The porn industry glorifies a misogynistic view of women and if consumed from an early age can encourage the mistreatment of women. Following on from the recent movement to better educate men, we need to make porn less accessible to stop children and teens buying into the idea that women are objects for sexual gain. It is called 'adult material' for a reason.
