Rejected petition Change the rules regarding piercings on female and males of school pupils
I want the rules for schools to change regarding piercings, facial, ears. Pupils express them selfs in different ways and with the stress of “trying to fit in” and viruses, and other troubles that they have to deal with daily.
More details
Having facial piercings does not effect there education in any way teenagers express them selfs this way, they get punished or excluded have anxiety attacks as there asked to take them out, it’s not fair the rules should change.

Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
The UK Government does not set rules about student appearance. This is a matter for individual schools.
We have accepted the following petition, which you might like to sign:
Ban mandatory uniforms in state schools: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/550875
We could accept a petition calling on the Government to ban schools from setting any rules about student appearance, if that is what you want to happen.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
