Closed Mandatory life sentence for abuse of a child

Make the mandatory life sentence for sexual, physical, or emotional abuse of a child with no possibility of parole and no suspended sentences.

Children are being let down by sentencing guidelines that can lead to lenient sentences for abuse of children. Some convicted of these crimes don't ever spend a day in prison. Children need to be protected and the current sentencing guidelines are not good enough and do not protect our innocent children. We need sentences to reflect the crime.
