We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Ban sale and use of animal traps that cause damage or death to the animal.

The government need to bring in a law where all traps that are designed to capture “pests” are designed in a way that will not harm animals.

More details

Many traps have become illegal due to the cruel or inhumane and dangerous methods of the contraptions. However there are still many traps to this day that are somehow legal, despite their inhumane methods.

An example recently is 2 robins landed on a feeding table only to become stuck in the trap, the RSPB circulated the disturbing picture of these poor animals having no option but to be put to sleep. No wild animal should have humans added to their list of dangers, especially at a garden feeder
