Closed Utility service providers must provide an email address for customer services.

Make it a legal requirement that any business providing gas, electricity, water or telecommunications services to the public, must provide an email address for customers to use for any queries relating to that service.

It is far too easy for service providers to hide behind automated call handling systems. which make if almost impossible for customers to resolve issues in a timely fashion. This issue comes with increasing frustrating for elderly and vulnerable customers.
