Closed petition Fund Band 6 pay for Newly Qualified Paramedics, backdated for Covid-19

Newly qualified paramedics should receive band 6 salary and equal pay. Newly qualified paramedics do the exact same role, with the exact same scope of practice as a band 6 paramedic. We are expected to work with any skill level and have had very little support when managing critically ill patients.

Newly qualified paramedics deserve band 6 pay. And backdated from covid19. Since qualifying, we have been expected to work with a range of skill levels not in the standard NQP programme. We have been under tremendous amounts of stress, being paid the same as EACS and Techs and expected to treat seriously ill patient's with no support. Band 5 salary is for emergency ambulance crew and emergency technicians. It should not be paramedics who are working to an intense scope of practise.
