Closed Fund free fertility health checks on demand on the NHS

We too often discuss how to prevent pregnancy however we don’t discuss often enough fertility.

Typically most people are diagnosed with fertility issues once they try for a baby. By this point it could be too late for some people and some options are no longer an option.

The main causes of infertility in the UK are (per cent figures indicate approximate prevalence):

unexplained infertility (no identified male or female cause) (25%)

ovulatory disorders (25%)

tubal damage (20%)

factors in the male causing infertility (30%)

uterine or peritoneal disorders (10%).

By making free fertility checks available to everyone you are enabling them look at options available earlier rather than it being too late.
