Closed Make helmets compulsory for those using electric scooters

It should be a legal requirement to wear a helmet when using an electronic scooter. Where a private scooter is already being used illegally, penalties should be increased where no helmet is worn.

Currently electric scooters are only legal as part of Government-approved rental trials, but more and more young adults are using electric scooters on main roads without helmets at high speeds around big vehicles.
