Rejected petition Legalise 'natural organic reduction' (human composting).
Human composting would add a natural ecologically friendly funerary option that enables a person to return to, and renourish the soil from which we all came.
More details
Current options of burial (chop down a tree, pump you full chemicals, take up valuable space in a cemetery) and cremation (using over 100 litres of fuel to incinerate you at over 600C releasing of 220kg of CO2) are environmentally damaging.
Natural organic reduction gradually breaks down a body over a 30-50 day period resulting in compost that can be used in rebuilding or regenerating woods and forests or simply in your back garden.
