Closed 100% Tax relief on pensions for those self-funding their social care

All residents that pay for their care home fees should not have to pay tax on their pensions. This would help the residents and their families significantly.

Care home residents can find themselves liable for over £100,000 in fees, which can require the use of their and their spouse’s pension funds. Tax is paid on these pensions which is wrong. Anyone paying for their own care should be exempt from paying tax on their pensions.
