Closed Relax rules on non-EU adult family members joining permanent UK residents

Immigration procedures for adult dependent relatives make it very hard for family members from non-EU countries to join UK residents. The requirements, in particular on personal care needs, should be relaxed to allow more parents to join their settled children in the UK.

The EU Settlement Scheme has made it easy for non-EU family members of EU citizens to join them without demonstrating care needs. In contrast, the adult dependent visa process is complicated and difficult to meet all the requirements. The same requirements should apply in all circumstances and the process for adult dependent visas should be made just as easy as the EU Settlement Scheme.
