Closed petition Seek to Stop Israel’s Forced Displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank

Israel is allowing settlers to take possession of Palestinian homes. Some families in the neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah have been given until May to leave their homes or they will face forced eviction, with more evictions to follow in August.

More details

Settlement building in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem is widely regarded as illegal under international law, but Israel has been occupying much East Jerusalem for decades.

Following recent events, the UK government should be doing more to protect Palestinian residents of East Jerusalem and international law.

The people in the neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah need us and we have a duty to deal with such a humanitarian crisis.

Government responds to paper petition on the occupation of East Jerusalem

The Government has responded to a public (paper) petition about the occupation of East Jerusalem, presented to the House of Commons by David Linden MP, on behalf of residents of the United Kingdom.

The petition states that the Israeli Government must reconsider its position of non-cooperation with an investigation by the International Criminal Court (ICC), and urges the Government to support the International Criminal Courts’ investigation into the illegal occupation of East Jerusalem and to take the necessary steps to reach a peaceful resolution to the current violence.
