Closed Require work capability assessments to be done by a claimant's GP

To use a person's GP to do disability assessments as they have the knowledge of the person's illness or condition and how it effects their daily life.

These private companies that do these disability assessment s do not know the person they are assessing and cannot know a person or how the disability affects someone's life after a 1 hour phone call. It seems that the UK Government do not trust the GP who have all the knowledge already to do the assessment.
