Closed petition Sanction Israeli individuals and businesses over treatment of Palestinians

Using the Magnitsky law (which enables perpetrators of human rights violations to be sanctioned), the UK Government should impose sanctions on Israeli individuals/businesses/companies responsible for human rights violations on the Palestinian people, in light of the recent violence in Sheikh Jarrah.

More details

The recent unprovoked attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and forced eviction of Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah have occurred on a background of what NGOs such as Human Rights Watch and B’Tselem call “Apartheid”.

We believe evidence of abuse is far more detailed than the reports which enabled the UK to impose Magnitsky-style sanctions on Chinese officials/companies over their treatment of the Uyghur people. We therefore call upon the UK to hold Israeli individuals/businesses equally accountable.
