Closed on

Recovering from the financial impact of the coronavirus, with many people in the UK losing their jobs and homes, forced to live in inadequate temporary accommodation or at worst rough sleeping. The Government needs to make living in poverty a protected characteristic under the Equality Act

People have a right to an adequate standard of living, the right to education.
Discrimination 'povertyism' against people on the grounds of their poverty is common but relatively unacknowledged feature in the UK.
