Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition Fund more specialised NHS aftercare for new mothers

The Government should fund the NHS to provide greater aftercare and support for new mothers following the birth of their child/children. This could include PND support, pelvic floor recovery, support and exercise to repair Diastasis Recti, etc

More details

So many new mothers, first time or otherwise, suffer following the birth of their babies; not just emotionally but physically as well. Some issues, which never get caught at the time, can leave women with serious, long-term problems, such as severe back pain, sciatica, heavy scar tissue, anxiety attacks... the list goes on.
