Closed petition Extend Employment Tribinal limitation period for disability dscrimination.

Disabled Job Applicants are often refused employments on the basis of their disability. The current recourse to justice allows for 3 months from date of notice to institute a claim in the employment Tribunal. This is unfair to a shocked disabled job applicant. The government should allow 15 years.

More details

The government should increase the statute of limitation on Disability related employment disputes from 3 months to 15 years from the date of realisation by the disabled person, of the infringement of his/her rights. Employers usually gamble on the possibility that the disabled applicant cannot afford legal advice or representation.
