Closed Require caravans be included in the registration documents of the towing vehicle

This petition is to have the law changed to make it a legal requirement to have Caravans included in the registration document of the towing vehicle, making it easier to identify unlawful possession using existing registration systems.

This would make it easier to identify caravans by law enforcement that might be unlawfully possessed, when they are being towed by a car it is not registered to.

Number plates can be ‘cloned’ but it would take more effort to steal a caravan and ensure you have the correct make, model, and year of the vehicle towing it. Legitimate traders would be able to register their wares against tow vehicles.
