Closed Require Companies House to verify proof of address before registering a company

I want it to be a legal requirement that proof of address is required as part of the process to open a new Company with companies house. Currently this is not a requirement which means that businesses can fraudulently use unsuspecting people's home addresses as their registered address.

Currently it falls on the victim to notify Companies House and complete various forms to have the address removed as the company's registered address. This can cause distress to the victim and has a simple solution - simply require proof that the applicant is responsible for the listed address as part of the registration process.
