The Government should implement policies to seek to tackle global deforestation including carbon trading schemes, diplomatic measures to pressure foreign governments to tackle deforestation, and use of sanctions against governments involved in deforestation.

Global deforestation is a major contributing factor to both global warming and climate change. Both of these are existential threats to our planet so we must take all possible steps to counter them.
