Rejected petition Tougher penalties for football related racial abuse

To take active steps to find and prosecute the perpetrators of racism in football (any national sport). This includes placing accountability with
organisations and social media platforms perpetrators use to voice hate.

More details

Racism has no place in sport. Appropriate legislation brought in to stamp out racism that has immediate consequences for perpetrators is needed as abuse has life consequences.
From crowds jeering at games to online abuse of individuals highlights the fight against racism is far from over. Immediate action with lasting consequences by way of legislation and powers for security at stadiums for example will send a lasting message to racists.
