Closed Increase sentences for all hate crimes

Hate crimes including homophobia and racism, both online and in person, need to come with tougher sentencing to combat the increasing numbers of such crimes within the UK.

The recent outburst in racism across the UK directed towards POC has shone a light on a major issue within this country. Hate speech, homophobia, racism and other forms of discrimination should be treated with more severity and come with harsher sentences. As it stands people can get away with doing / saying abhorrent things which encourages the same behaviours and practises to happen again, those such people should be punished accordingly.
