Closed petition Require all pharmacies to support online payment and postal delivery

Closed on

Many patients, including those who live alone or those who are having to self-isolate due to covid-19, can find it difficult to obtain their prescriptions if their pharmacies do not support online or telephone payments and do not send medication to patients by post.

Access to medication is a basic human right and all pharmacies should have a right of care to ensure that patients get their medication. All pharmacies should therefore be required to provide the option of paying for prescriptions online or by telephone, and to allow delivery to patients who urgently require their medication and are unable to collect themselves or get someone else to collect on their behalf.
