Closed Make racist abuse a specific criminal offence

The Government needs to take racism more seriously and do something about it by making racist abuse a specific criminal offence immediately.

Instead of racism being a hate crime, Parliament need to put it into legislation/law as a specific criminal offence.

There is regular racism around the country and some people are living in fear. BAME men, women, teens and children are being physically assaulted and, in some cases, killed.

Furthermore, there has been widespread racial abuse directed towards sports people in England, which is out of order.

Us BAME men, women, teens and kids should not have to live in fear.

So, instead of simply condemning racism, the Government needs to take action as condemning does not mean a thing.
