Closed petition Fund free childcare from 1 year old

I would like the Government to extend free childcare available for 3 and 4 year olds (570 free hours per year) to children from the age of 1. Parents should not have to choose between staying at home or a career.

The reason for me doing this is because I am currently part time and would like to go full time but because childcare is so expensive this is not an option for my family unless the role I am in pays a lot more. I have worked since I was 16 years old, finished university with a 1st class degree and worked ever since. I then had a baby which meant things had to change vastly but I am a mum who wants to be in full time employment and have a successful career.
