Closed petition Automatically upgrade A2 licence to full unrestricted A licence after two years

Remove the need for current A2 licence holders to pay to redo the exact same test, on the same bike in order to ride a motorcycle over 35kw. Have the A2 licence automatically upgrade after two years to a full unrestricted A licence.

The current setup for licenses are driving young people away from riding motorcycles due to the cost of climbing the licence ladder. Obtaining an A2 licence can cost £600 - £1000 including training and test fees. The same rider will then have to pay a minimum of £120 to redo the same test 2 years down the line on the same cc capacity bike.
