Have a uniform policy on a mandatory requirement for people to present a negative lateral flow test as condition of entry into major venues and nightclubs with sizeable attendances where social distancing is not possible due to the nature of the event i.e. nightclubs, bars, stadiums, and arenas.

The choice to make lateral flows requirement or a recommendation has been delegated to local councils, so there is no national policy. Therefore, some venues have made it a requirement and some a recommendation. In the past 2 weeks with non-socially distanced events taking place, significant clusters of groups attending events have caught COVID as tests were not mandatory and many people went without checking if they have COVID or not. This should significantly reduce number the number of cases.
