Allow vehicle owners to re-space their registration plate providing that automated detection systems can still read it correctly. Providing that the registration plate still follows all over codes of conduct, allow vehicle owners to re-space their plate. E.G. “J4 SON” to “J4SON”

I believe that it gives vehicle owners more freedom to express an aesthetically pleasing registration whilst also serving the purpose they’re designed for. Re-spacing a number plate doesn’t have to trick detection systems or allow the owner to avoid punishment. However, it does allow the owner a small amount of freedom to make a license plate more aesthetically pleasing, for example, using the letters and numbers to display their name.
