Closed petition Review gun licence/firearm laws for those with convictions/police cautions
Closed on
Anyone applying for a gun license who has a criminal conviction or police caution must be denied a license and anyone who has a gun license who then receives a criminal conviction or police caution must have their license revoked and guns confiscated.
In the light of tragic events in Plymouth (12 August 2021), firearms and shotgun licensing must be reviewed and amend to prevent this type of event happening in the future.
Stricter rules are needed and any license holder not living within the structure of the law must not be trusted to hold a firearms or shotgun license (1 strike and you're out).
