Closed Require the treatment of the Uyghur be taught as part of Key Stage 3 History

Millions of Uyghur Muslims in China are subject to unacceptable treatment, and MPs have passed a motion stating that this amounted to crimes against humanity and genocide.

I want the Government to require this to be taught as part of KS3 history alongside the required education of the Holocaust.

Numerous reports have emerged of Uyghur Muslims in China being victims of mass detention, mass surveillance, restriction of religious and cultural identities, as well as other gross human rights abuses.

Thus the European Union, UK, US and Canada introduced sanctions against China in 2021 for gross human rights violations.

Introducing treatment of the Uyghur alongside the statutory education of the Holocaust will only complement the current curriculum with contemporary content.
