Closed Immediately publish guidance on care home worker vaccination exemption

Following its decision to require frontline care home workers to be vaccinated against covid-19 unless medically exempt, the Government MUST immediately publish full information on how workers can demonstrate their vaccine-exemption status.

Presently there is no follow up information as to how workers in the care sector can obtain this exemption or what they need to demonstrate and record that they are exempt. The Government has promised guidance on the scope and process for granting exemptions, however this has still not been published. Care workers need full information, presently they are unable to access this information and are facing the prospect of losing their jobs.
