Closed petition Make inquests private so only family can attend

I lost my son over a year ago, he was found dead aged 24, I have struggled to come to turns with this, and knowing that the inquest is open to the public and the press has not helped the grieving process. I am sure a lot of people who have faced the same situation feel the same way.

I feel that the Government should make Inquests private. That inquest should not be an open court for the press to be able to attend and report on what happened to someone when they have died, this is a private matter. The families who have lost a love one, have suffered enough without having to deal with public opinion.
