Closed petition Seek talks with India to remove travel curbs on both sides

Closed on

Hold bilateral talks with the Government of India to remove curbs on travel for COVID vaccinated Indian citizens, which will result in India removing the reciprocal travel curbs on UK citizens, that has been recently put in place

India has put in place a reciprocal move of quarantine arrangements for UK citizens travelling to India.

These moves by the UK and India do not seem to have a scientific basis, as the same COVID vaccine manufactured in India has been administered to over 5 million UK citizens. It seems like a political move between the two governments. The end-result of such moves will mainly affect the British Indian Community and any business travellers between the two countries.

The British Indian Community contributes over £85 billion per year to the British economy. British Indian community has the highest number of healthcare workers in the NHS, serving the British people.

We request the British Parliament and the British Government to resolve the issue with India.
