Rejected petition Increase the minimum & maximum sentences for all sexual offences
I want the Government to imagine that something has happened to a member of their family, that someone has decided to rape, sexually assault or groom someone who is close to them & explain what they see as justice for the offender, because what we are currently seeing as 'justice' is unacceptable!

The current sentencing for offenders of rape, sexual assualt & grooming is nowhere near long enough & does not serve as justice to the victims involved.
The victims have to relive the awful memories of what has happened to them for the justice system to let them down with poor sentencing & make them feel as if they've wasted their time & refreshed the disgusting torture they had to go through all over again for nothing other than a couple of years in prison.
