The Government is holding a public consultation on proposals to make Covid certification mandatory in certain settings, if the NHS comes under pressure: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/proposal-for-mandatory-covid-certification-in-a-plan-b-scenario-call-for-evidence

We ask the Government not to implement any plans for said mandatory Covid certification. In their report of 12 June, The Public Administrations and Constitutional Affairs committee expressed their concerns about mandatory Covid-status certification and recommended that the Government not go through with it. The Government’s Covid-status certification plans were then scrapped.
