Closed Make employer-funded gym membership tax free for employees and employers

Employers pay class 1a NIC for this employee benefit.
I believe it is time gym membership was tax deductible and neither employees or employers should pay tax on it.

The UK Government has said exercise is good for mental health and people's well being. I believe therefore gyms are an essential service in anyone’s life and if people want to do it, they should not be penalised for it tax wise.
