Why should the people be punished to pay for what I believe is a vanity project? Nobody voted for any of this and there is mounting resentment that we are being dragged into a very very uncertain future that we do not want.

Why should we have to lead the world in decarbonisation? Other countries are chopping down trees money could be used to stop this, China is opening large numbers of coal fired power stations. The UK emitted just over 1% of world emissions but we have to change our way of life? We believe this is madness.. we will be forced to buy expensive electric cars, change the home heating. Stop it NOW!!!
