When Covid hit some were given a £20 boost, which made life a bit more bearable. Now it is gone, people like me have to forego something essential. I have chosen to have no heating. It is very cold where I live. I do not want to live like this as I have health problems and only get standard UC.
Many people in this country are struggling. This is no secret. That extra bit of income made all the difference and it is 100% wrong for those who have no idea what it is like, to ignore the plight of the genuine. Everyone claiming means-tested benefits should receive this help immediately.
