Rejected petition Scrap Clean Air Charge For Personally Owned Vehicles

Abolish the £10 per day charge for personal use vehicles and vans and only charge those owned by companies/fleet vans which do not meet Euro 6 emissions.

Many people drive a van as a personal vehicle; whether this is as a hobby, enthusiast or necessity as self-employed. the £10 per day charge currently only effects certain areas of the country, however will no doubt be rolled out nationwide eventually.

This is highly unfair especially to the smaller vans that use the same engines as diesel cars in some instances with the exact same emissions and CO2 levels yet they are not penalised.

Personal use and Self-Employed should not be penalised.
