We’re waiting for a new Petitions Committee

Petitions had to stop because of the recent general election. Once a new Petitions Committee is set up by the House of Commons, petitions will start again.

Closed petition New build properties should be built with eco-friendly facilities.

Ensure that all planning consent given for new builds require the builders to install these eco-friendly facilities: central heating heat exchanger; car charging point for the mandatory electric cars; soak-away for rain water so it does not add to the stress on the already overloaded sewerage system

More details

It seems pointless for the government to ban fossil fuelled cars, the sales of gas fired central heating boilers and to complain when the water utilities cannot cope with the rain water flooding the sewage systems when at the same time they are allowing new houses to be built without the relevant infrastructure. They should legislate that all planning consent for new builds require a charging point for electric cars, a heat exchanger for the central heating and a soak-away for rain water.
