Closed Impose a fit and proper persons test for social care companies

The Government should impose a 'fit and proper persons test', like that used by HMRC to assess the suitability of those working in the charity sector, to ensure that only reputable individuals are allowed to own and operate social care services.

This should help to ensure that these services are operated sustainably, that clients are suitably cared for, and that employees' rights are better protected.
